Annual Overnight at Copper Mountain Resort - Ski Patrol Hut, January 2007

Troop Skiing and Snowboarding trip to Copper Mountain Resort and overnight stay at 12,000 feet above sea level at the Ski Patrol Hut Headquarters. It snowed a little bit but the snowcats groomed the slopes to make our first tracks to the bottom before the ski area opened a memorable experience..  What a thrill to ski or snowboard with a backpack on our backs.  Lots of fun.  We had an experienced Ski Patroller give us a demonstration of the safety equipment that they use for lift rescues and he talked about the opportunity to join the Copper Mountain Ski Patrol.  We left behind our annual gift of food and snacks to the hard working Copper Mountain Ski Patrol members.  Thanks.
