Troop Annual Sand Dunes Family Campout, May 2009

Spring Family Sand Dunes National Park Annual Campout featured a special group that finally camped overnight on the Sand Dunes by special permit.  Scoutmaster emeritus John Rohde lead a special group of Scouts out into the sand dunes for a very rare opportunity to campout overnight in tents completely surrounded by the sand dunes.  The rest of the Troop camped at the normal Group campsites at the Oasis Campgrounds located just outside of the Sand Dunes National Park.
